Friday funny....

The other day we went to lunch with our friend to our favorite sandwich shop. Soon after Paige finished her sandwich she started to ask for ice cream. I told her she had to wait till everyone was done then I would walk her over to get her an ice cream. Everyone two minutes I heard "Mommy, can I get ice cream?" I had to come out and say Paige if I hear that again you won't get ice cream.

A few minutes later...

P: Mommy?
M: (with angry eyes) what?
P: I love you.
M: (with a smile on my face) I love you, too.
P: You thought I was going to say can I have ice cream, huh?
M: I did.
P: You just never know what your kids are going to say.
