Seeking appliance advice...
Our washing machine has died! Tonight I went to throw the clothes in the dryer and there they were sitting in a tub of water. Eric and I squeezed all the water out of the clothes and now they are in the dryer. So, if anyone out there has any advice on which machine we should buy please let us know. I really want one that picks the laundry up from around the house itself but I think that is a little out there. Is there a dryer that folds the laundry itself? For now it's off to the laundromat for me.

oh dude, that seriously bites. kenmore is a name that always comes up.....that's about all i know.
as for one that picks up the clothes off the floor, that's called a maid.
Ugh!!! My favorite washing machine over the years and still is: GE. As for one that picks up the clothes off the floor: everybody in the family help then there is less for mom.
Harry recommends a brand called fischer Paykle. My friend just bought a LG. Holds tons, uses less water and cleans everything. The also received top ratings in front loading washers from consumer report. My 2007 buying guide came in the mail today.
