I was out one evening and Eric and the kiddos were left on their own. After the following conversation, I always wonder how their evening went...

C: I want to go to Maine!

M: We're going in a few months.

C: No! I don't want you to go.

M: They won't let you get on an airplane by yourself so I have to take you.

C: and Paige and Cole?

M: yes.

C: Daddy?

M: no, Daddy can't go.

C: he's mean.

M: Why is he mean?

C: BECAUSE!

M: well were you mean to Daddy? Sometimes if you're mean to people they are mean to you.

C: NO! I wasn't mean, Mommy. I was patient with Daddy!
